What types of pain will the ScenarPT Device treat?
The ScenarPT device will work on both acute (recent onset, such as injury) and chronic (long term) types of pain. A few examples would be degenerative joint pain, acute inflammation from trauma or sports injury, nerve pain from nerve irritation/disc injury, chronic muscle pulls, and overuse conditions such as carpal tunnel, tendonitis.
Because the device has direct input to the brain and spinal cord it will also work on reducing or eliminating general body pain conditions including Autoimmune types of pain like Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue Syndome, and Migraine headaches
How does it work?
To understand how ScenarPT works, you need to understand a little bit about how the body works naturally to heal itself.
If you think of the brain as a central computer that controls all bodily functions, then the nervous system is like a network that relays messages back and forth from the brain to different parts of the body. It does this via the spinal cord, which runs from the brain down through the back and contains threadlike nerves that branch out to every organ and body part.
When a message comes into the brain from anywhere in the body, the brain tells the body how to react. For example, if you accidentally touch a hot stove, the nerves in your skin shoot a message of pain to your brain. The brain then sends a message back telling the muscles in your hand and arm to pull away. Luckily, this neurological relay race takes a lot less time than it just took to read about it.
Within the nervous system are specialized cells that produce chemicals that reduce pain and inflammation, and promote healing. ScenarPT is extremely effective in stimulating your body’s natural ability to heal itself. There is actually a two-way conversation between ScenarPT and your body. The ScenarPT asks your brain and spinal nerves a question, and your body answers. The next input from the ScenarPT to your body is based on the answer your body gives to the device. This “conversation” continues until ScenarPT has helped your body back to a state of balance and wellness.
How do I know it really works?
The best place to start is reading patient testimonials and viewing the short video. This will give you a better understanding of the truly remarkable results the ScenarPT device can provide.
You are also invited to read the articles regarding all the research performed in Russia and elsewhere over the past thirty years, as well as the results that have been achieved for people like you using the ScenarPT device.
How do I receive the ScenarPT treatment?
There are two ways to receive the ScenarPT treatment. First, you can schedule an appointment with a practitioner healthcare professional who uses the ScenarPT device as part of their treatment process. We are working on an interactive part of our website that will show all where all of the practitioners are located throughout the United States. In the meantime, you can e-mail us at info@scenarpt.com to see if there is a practitioner in your area.
The second way to receive the ScenarPT treatment is to order our Sport model and use it in your own home!. You will be able to use the ScenarPT therapy device in the convenience of your own home. Instructions for use are included, as well as customer support throughinfo@scenarpt.com . Do it yourself using our Sport model.
How do I change the Battery?
The battery compartment opens and the battery can easily be changed, just like the ones on cell phones and other small battery-operated devices. The Sport device has a battery compartment which is accessed by putting pressure on the compartment cover and sliding the cover down. The battery may be changed by gently tapping the device on the palm with the battery compartment toward the palm. The new battery may be placed in the battery compartment by putting the “butt” end of the battery in first and then gently pushing the upper part of the 9v battery against the contacts. If the spring contacts are overly depressed – they will allow the battery to “rattle” in the case and cause intermittent power which will cause the device to shut off intermittently. To fix the contacts, see below.
What if the device shuts off while I am treating?
There are two basic reasons the device is shutting off: low battery power and poor skin contact. If the device has low battery power, it will chime intermittently (like a smoke detector going out) or just shut off in mid treatment. The battery may be changed by following the instructions above. The second reason the device turns off is due to poor skin contact, which is typically because of a dirty electrode. Dead skin and body oils can build up on the electrode surfaces and cause the device to “read” that there is no longer skin contact (“feedback”). This makes the device shut down due to the “auto off” feature of the device. The electrodes may be cleaned with 80% isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol) and a cotton swab.
How do I fix a “rattle” in the battery case/intermittent performance of the ScenarPT device?
The sport unit has spring contacts which can be occasionally compressed by dropping the device, knocking it on the top or the bottom, or with shipping/transporting. Thus, it is best to transport the device without a battery installed for this reason. Occasionally, the spring contacts become so compressed that they fail to make consistent contact with the battery terminals and the 9 volt will “rattle” in the battery compartment. When this occurs, the device will have intermittent performance and there will be an audible “rattle” in the battery compartment when the sport unit is gently shaken. The easy fix to this problem is to remove the battery from the compartment (see replacing FAQ above) and gentle pull out the spring contacts with either a finger nail, letter opener, small screwdriver, etc. Be careful not to overstress the contacts or do this too frequently as there can be cumulative metal fatigue. The failure of these springs is very low and so they do appear to be able to handle this adjustment fairly often. Just don’t get in the habit of dropping the device or knocking it heavily for this and other performance reasons.
How do I locate a ScenarPT practitioner/therapist?
You may ask your doctor, physical therapist, chiropractor, or allied other licensed medical professional if they are familiar with the ScenarPT device/technology. If they are not familiar, they may contact ScenarPT for training and information on how to learn more about the ScenarPT device and therapy. The ScenarPT website is developing a page specifically on mapping national provider locations that train with our company and that data will be more fully provided as it becomes available.
